XAT full form is Xavier Aptitude Test. XAT is one of the most prestigious MBA entrance exams in India. The XAT score is accepted by the leading MBA institutes of India like XLRI, IMT, XIMB, and many more. Usually conducted in the first week of January every year, XAT is taken by approximately 1 Lakh candidates all over India. It is an online Computer-Based test of 3 hours. It consists of four sections namely Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.
A candidate is eligible for the exam if he or she has secured atleast 50% marks in his or her graduation degree of atleast 3 years duration from a reputed or recognised college/university. Moreover, candidates in their final year of graduation can also take the exam. There is no particular age limit for appearing for XAT exam.
In XAT exam there will be 99 questions and the time duration will be 3 hours. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. There is no negative marking for leaving 8 questions unattempted. However, after that there will be negative marking of 0.05 marks per unattempted question. There is no sectional time limit. The candidates will get 15 minutes for attempting the General Knowledge section. The following table represents the XAT exam pattern-
